Overview
To elucidate mechanisms by which mitochondria-derived metabolites regulate physiological processes.
Specific aims are,
To dissect the functions of mitochondria-derived metabolites in regulation of aging and immune response, and signaling networks for cross-talks between mitochondria and other cellular organelles | |
To identify novel regulatory factors in differentiation and function of regulatory T cells through controlling mitochondrial metabolism | |
To characterize interplay between mitochondrial folate metabolism and cytoplasmic protein synthesis using formylmethionine, and their biological significance |
